IE8 is known to pass the acid 2 test (http://www.webstandards.org/files/acid2/test.html), unlike any other browser to date, so it should save web developers a whole lot of troubles getting their website to display right in each browser.
Now all they need to do is find a way to get users to update their browser, I know some crazy/dumb people who are still on IE6 and refuse to update. A method to do this would be to make this little yellow balloon thingy pop up in their taskbar and notify the user to update every 5 minutes. Eventually this will drive the user nuts and they will give in and update their browser. Mission complete! 8)

For anyone interested, you can download the beta here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/ie8/readiness/Install.htm).
